I’ve introduced hundreds of people to pickleball and helped countless others take their next step. That’s the part of my journey I’m proudest of.
How it all began ↓
I first picked up a paddle in Harrow in 2023. We were using badminton nets, there was very little structure, and none of it felt particularly established. I quickly fell in love with the game.
By late 2023, I was organising Everyone Active sessions in Harrow and Rickmansworth. Getting things going took persistence: competing with badminton for hall space, trying to fill the courts and pushing for the right equipment. Those early sessions were where the community started to grow.
I helped introduce many of our Harrow players to the game, including our club founder, Bhavik. Seeing those first steps turn into regular play, friendships and a thriving club has been a huge part of the joy.

My journey has taken me from those early Harrow sessions to helping people discover and enjoy pickleball through Everyone Active in Rickmansworth and Watford, including Watford Central and Woodside.
From welcoming someone holding a paddle for the first time to bringing players together at our Woodside tournivals, the aim has always been to make the game welcoming, enjoyable and worth coming back to.
Today, I’m League Captain at Harrow Pickleball Club. I love the competitive side, but the people who have found a new sport—and the confidence to keep playing—are what make this journey special.

“The part I’m proudest of is helping someone discover the game, enjoy it and realise they can improve.”Kush
I came to pickleball with a background in other sports, including cricket. Once I found it, I threw myself into learning: watching coaching videos, studying the game and constantly looking for ways to improve.
I also kept seeing players who wanted help but didn’t have someone available to guide them. Helping them developed naturally into private coaching, and I qualified as a Pickleball England Level 1 coach.
I’m a qualified assessor with the CAVA qualification and hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. That education background shapes how I coach: understand the player, explain clearly, demonstrate, build through progressions and give feedback they can actually use.
Whether it’s an Everyone Active session or private coaching, I want you to leave understanding what to practise, why it matters and how to keep improving.
I’ve competed and medalled at 4.0 level, and I’ve competed at 4.5 level too. Playing competitively helps me understand the pressure, decisions and frustrations that come with trying to take your game further.
Those experiences inform my coaching. My focus is on your next step: more consistent shots, smarter positioning, better decisions and the confidence to use them in a real game.
